Conversations between a client advocate and client are confidential. However, by law, Avenue Women’s Center staff members must report the following situations: physical abuse of a minor, sexual abuse of a minor, and expressed threat of homicide or suicide by the client. If a client shares information which is required to be reported, confidentiality will be broken accordingly.
