The women who walk through our doors are rarely happy to be pregnant. Most are already thinking about abortion. And most of those women – over 50% of them – are already busy mothering at least one child.
Are we describing you? If you are a single mom, concerned that you may be facing another pregnancy, please don’t face this alone. Avenue Women’s Center provides free pregnancy tests, so you can find out for sure if you are – or are not –pregnant. We offer free, private, supportive pregnancy consultations. Most of all, we provide care. As you navigate this challenging season in your life, we are here for you. We hope you will call, text, chat, or email us today.
Our clients are very much aware of the challenges that single parenting can bring.
Sometimes there is more month than money. Raising children can be a financial challenge. Early on, the cost of diapers is intimidating. Later, it’s the cost of youth sports… piano lessons… art workshops… science camps…or that really cool Corvette Show you just have to attend.
Sometimes you’re tired. Mercy, you’re tired. You worked last night, and the baby is awake at 8am. Even on Sundays. There are days when your greatest fantasy involves taking a nap.
Sometimes it’s not easy. You love your little one, and you want the best for him/her. You do sacrifice to provide all that you possibly can. A Saturday morning spent at a Little League game would not have been your favorite choice – but that’s what you do. And you’re the mom who’s cheering the loudest.
But now – another one?
At Avenue Women’s Center, our hearts go out to you. We’ve learned that pregnancy decisions are never easy. And, unfortunately, the best decisions are rarely arrived at quickly. We want you to know that we understand what you’re going through, and we are here to provide you with the respectful, compassionate care you need.
Free pregnancy services. Most everyone who comes to us receives a medical-grade pregnancy test. Before moving forward, it is best to establish that the pregnancy is sure. And – is the pregnancy sure to continue or may it end naturally? Some women benefit from a limited medical ultrasound that establishes the likelihood of miscarriage for a specific pregnancy. Avenue Women’s Center does not provide ongoing prenatal care. We specialize in the early services that a woman needs when facing an ill-timed pregnancy… and we provide those services with the sensitivity you deserve.
Free, confidential consultations. At Avenue Women’s Center, you are given space to process your situation. We already wrote about some of the challenges that single moms face. You are probably also thinking about the benefits that could come from continuing the pregnancy… providing a sibling… learning about new friends and resources that are available… having opportunities to give and receive unconditional love…. Each woman identifies different benefits that are true for her. You deserve space to explore both sides of your personal situation without judgment.
Free pregnancy and abortion informational session. There are resources available to you. What information would you want before moving forward with your decision? In your private informational session, you can gather facts that are important to you, including information about surgical and medication abortions. All information is provided in a safe and comfortable environment.
“In my life, I endured much trouble and pain.
In the end, that’s not what defined me.
I endured. I learned. I tried.
And always, I did the best I could.”
