Am I ready to be a parent?

This is a question many ask themselves when facing a pregnancy. There is a lot to consider when it comes to being a parent. However, many will say that no one truly feels equipped to step into that role, and taking a look at the thoughts and circumstances influencing your decision can help you move forward with confidence.

Choosing to parent

Parenting is difficult, no matter what your age, financial situation, or background. You can read books and talk to different people, but no one is actually ready to be a parent. Are you asking yourself these questions?

  • Can I parent without support from my family or partner?
  • Can I continue school or further my career goals while parenting?
  • What can I do if I don’t have insurance or medical care?

We can help you process these questions and we’ll work on finding the solutions to equip you in your next steps. Many women choose not to parent because they don’t feel they have the help they need. However, there are more resources today than ever before for women who choose to parent on their own.
