Avenue Women’s Center is a limited medical clinic that employs licensed medical professionals. Our pregnancy consultants are not licensed medical professionals. Abortions and abortion referrals are not included in our consultations. Information provided is not a substitute for professional medical care. Avenue Women’s Center pregnancy consultants are trained in crisis intervention and basic counseling skills. Meeting with a pregnancy consultant is not a replacement for receiving professional counseling.
Conversations between a pregnancy consultant and client are confidential. However, by law, Avenue Women’s Center staff members must report the following situations: physical abuse of a minor, sexual abuse of a minor, and expressed threat of homicide or suicide by the client. If a client shares information which is required to be reported, confidentiality will be broken accordingly.
Avenue Women’s Center takes your privacy seriously. We follow industry standards to protect your information. By using the Avenue Women’s Center electronic communication systems (email, text, live chat, online scheduling, etc.) the user agrees not to hold Avenue Women’s Center or its affiliates or employees liable for any breach of privacy or confidentiality due to circumstances over which Avenue Women’s Center has no control, including but not limited to the activity of internet criminals or attacks, even if Avenue Women’s Center has foreknowledge of such attacks.
