Often when we meet clients, we learn that they expected to be of an unusual age to need our services.
Younger clients worry that they may not be respected or that we will inform their parents/guardians of their situations. They may have concerns about how their peers would react or how the situation could impact college plans.
Older clients worry they should be “beyond” the stage of facing unplanned pregnancy. They may already be done raising their families and were expecting menopause – not pregnancy.
The truth is that unplanned pregnancies happen at every age, from 12 to 55. Avenue Women’s Center serves all women, whatever their circumstances may be, with respect and confidentiality.
