“What Can I Expect from an Appointment at Avenue?”
Getting help for a sensitive situation like an unexpected pregnancy can feel intimidating at first. Most people want to know what to expect before they even reach out for support. If you’re considering contacting Avenue, here are a few things you can expect from us!
- We’ll meet you where you are. We’re here for you, no matter what. A client’s health and safety are always our number-one priorities. We promise to help meet your holistic needs with empathy and respect- never judgment.
- We’ll provide free and accurate information as efficiently as possible. Avenue is passionate about offering information that’s reliable, comprehensive, neutral, and easy to grasp. During a pregnancy consultation, we’ll go over the risks and processes involved with all your pregnancy options. Our free limited medical ultrasounds can provide 3 vital pieces of information: 1) how far along you are (which can affect your eligibility for some abortion methods), 2) where the pregnancy is located (if it’s outside of the uterus, you would need medical help right away), and 3) your chances of miscarriage (which most people want to know before they decide). These services are designed to empower you to make a well-informed pregnancy decision whether you choose abortion, adoption, or parenting.
- We’ll offer ongoing emotional support, no matter what. All our limited medical clinics are safe spaces to process. We also recognize that once a woman leaves, she may be exposed to many different stressors beyond her control. With your permission, we’ll continue to connect with you and provide support during and after your decision-making process.
No person wants or expects to discover a pregnancy in the disorienting days after a painful divorce. But even though the timing is far from ideal, it’s still possible to discover an outcome you feel at peace with. Avenue exists to support and empower you as you strive toward that goal. We genuinely care about your holistic needs, and we’re in your corner no matter where this road leads.
Reach out to Avenue today! We offer virtual consultations and in-person appointments at five limited medical clinics in Chicagoland, Illinois.
