For many of us, it’s natural to enter a fresh chapter with high hopes that good things will happen in the months ahead… and maybe life will run just a little bit smoother than it did the previous year. If you’ve ever read or watched Anne of Green Gables, you may be familiar with the quote, “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it… yet.” Of course, there’s nothing wrong with starting a new year with an optimistic point of view. But most of us have had the misfortune of discovering how quickly a new season can begin to feel tainted by old struggles and new challenges. Maybe it seems like your unexpected pregnancy is setting a negative tone for 2024 and beyond. As a result, you may be feeling deeply discouraged today. Hang in there!

In addition to offering free lab-quality pregnancy tests, we provide options consultations, so you can move forward feeling knowledgeable about all the processes and risks involved with each of your pregnancy options: abortion, adoption, and parenting. We believe in educating women about their own unique pregnancies as well, so they can know what they’re facing before the time comes to make a decision. A limited medical ultrasound at Avenue can tell you, 1) how far along you are (which can affect which abortion options you’re eligible for), 2) your chances of miscarriage, and 3) the location of your pregnancy (a pregnancy located outside of the uterus would be dangerous and would require immediate medical attention).
