With the internet and social media you can read reviews on just about anything. Since you’re visiting the pregnanthelp blog today, I assume you’re finding yourself in the position of researching the abortion pill. As I prepared to write this article – hoping to help you – I started with some internet research of my own.
To learn more information about the abortion pill, please call or text us. Our offices are in Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn / Lombard, Naperville, West Chicago, and Wood Dale, Illinois. We hope one is conveniently located, and we are able to assist you today.
When looking into “Abortion Pill Reviews,” I googled it to see what I might find. To learn more about online reviews in general, I also tried entering random topics: toaster oven reviews, foreign film reviews. When I entered “restaurant reviews,” I noted that Chicago area restaurants came up highest in the list, because of course the internet knows that I was in Chicago at the time. One of my favorite titles was “The Best Bad Restaurant Reviews in Recent History.” I even read reviews of “reviews.”
What did I find online for “abortion pill reviews”?
I did locate and read some posts. There were ones entitled “Here’s What It’s Really Like….Three anonymous women open up,” “My sister died after taking abortion pill,” “I just wanted to share with you my experience of the Abortion Pill.” “Abby Johnson Story – Abortion Pill Risks,” and others.
But – what about TRUE “abortion pill reviews”?
Who knows the motives and perspective behind each of those posts. I really wanted to see reviews that were written by women who had used the pill and wanted to share their experience. Again – I found and read comments that seemed to be from different women. Some had positive experiences; others did not. Some would do it again; others would not.
What did I conclude after my internet research?
A “review” is the opinion or experience of the writer of it. All reviews are like that, whatever it is that’s being reviewed. One diner had a wonderful experience and loved the food at this restaurant; the same restaurant is totally panned by the next reviewer. How do you determine which one is “correct”? Is it possible even to do that? And how is that helpful when you’re looking at an option much more serious than a restaurant selection?
When I read a review I’m trying to assess whether the experience or product will be good for me, personally. With the abortion pill, a woman wants to know:
- What is entailed in the process of taking it?
- What symptoms are common with the abortion pill?
- How might I expect to feel after using it?
- What exactly would be benefits of choosing a surgery over the pill…. Or vice versa?
May I encourage you that….
That’s why Avenue Women’s Center exists. Better than an opinion posted by an unknown entity, we provide confidential services geared towards each woman’s individual situation. Those services include accurate information about the abortion pill, provided within the safety of a private consultation.
My search for abortion pill reviews also emphasized for me something that Avenue Women’s Center has been saying and writing for many years:
“Every woman’s situation is unique.”
When it comes to an unplanned pregnancy, plenty of people will have (and share) their opinions. The important thing is that it’s the woman herself, and only she, who can make her personal best, final determination of which options to choose. At Avenue Women’s Center, we recognize that each woman deserves to receive nonjudgmental care and compassion as she makes her decisions. To the degree you find it helpful, we will listen to your unique story and act as a sounding board for you as you navigate your situation.
